Martin “Marty” Prieto Miravete, age 54, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas.
Martin was born on November 11, 1970, in Jesús Carranza, Veracruz, Mexico, to Etanislao Prieto Carreón and Esperanza Miravete Hernández. In 1998, Martin came to the United States in search of the American dream, carrying with him a deep love and pride for his homeland. He first made his home in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, before settling in Plymouth, Indiana, where he met the love of his life and future wife, Graciela Robles (Ramos). Their partnership of 20 years was filled with laughter, devotion, and the kind of warmth that touched everyone who knew them.
Martin had a youthful spirit and a gift for making people laugh. His storytelling brought joy to friends and family alike, and his easygoing nature made him a person people naturally gravitated toward. He worked hard throughout his life, but he never lost his lightheartedness. He loved spending time outdoors—fishing and hunting in the rivers, lakes, and woods of northern Indiana—and he found peace in his garden.
In 2013, Martin and Graciela moved to San Antonio, Texas, where they built a home together and shared many happy years.
Martin is survived by his loving wife Graciela Robles, his children with Gudelia Hernández Olivera—Angela, Eugenio, and Maria del Carmen, his stepsons Jerardo Robles and Jaime Robles Jr., his mother Esperanza, and his siblings Susana, Elvira, Clemente, Benito, Maria, Juan, Virginia, Alejandra, Carlos, and Lorenzo. He also leaves behind many brother and sister in laws, son and daughter in laws, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews across Mexico and the United States, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts.
He is preceded in death by his father Etanislao and his stepson Domingo T. Robles.
Martin’s legacy lives on in the laughter he inspired, the love he gave, and the countless lives he touched. He will be remembered always for his kindness, humor, and the joy he brought to those around him.
