Juan Zamora Castillo was born on November 10, 1947, to Salvador Zamora Alejandro and Maria Castillo Valdez. He passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 77 in Devine, Tx.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Martin Zamora; and his sisters, Maria Estella Morales and Armandina Armendarez.
Juan is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosa Amelia Zamora; daughters Martha Leticia Montes (Martin Leopoldo) and Rosa Amelia Gonzalez (Erick); sons Juan Ariel Zamora (Elva Lidia) and Juan Pedro Zamora (Janet Marie); and brother Guadalupe Zamora (Sara).
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Martin Montes, Jr. (Janie L.), Gerardo A. Zamora, Jianna G. Zamora, Jacqueline Gonzalez, Aaron Gonzalez, Gabrielle A. Estrada, Sergio A. Estrada, and Diego E. Estrada; great-grandchildren Jared Montes, Christian Ross, Johnny Ross and Grayson S. Estrada; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Juan was a hardworking man, devoted to his family and grounded in love, generosity, and perseverance. He was known for his caring heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to providing for those he loved. For 16 years, Juan worked at Brown Chevrolet in Devine, where he was respected for his dedication and reliability.
Juan was well versed with many talents and skills, he played the guitar, enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, and was always well known in the communities he was a part of, especially in Mexico. The 3 hour trip across the border to Zaragoza, Coahuila became a tradition almost every other weekend. The love for his extended family clearly transcended borders. His legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Natalia Memorial Funeral Home 2048 Hwy 132 N. Natalia, Tx 78059.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St Joseph Catholic Church in Devine. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Devine, Tx.
