Alfredo Trevino, Sr.

Alfredo Treviño, of Leming, Tx, passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on September 10, 1944, in San Antonio, Tx, Alfredo lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, a commitment that reflected the honor, dedication, and humility he carried throughout his life.

Following his military service, Alfredo worked at Columbia 300 for more than 20 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and dedication, earning the respect of those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

A devoted member of his church community, Alfredo was deeply involved with both Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and St. Luke's Catholic Church. For many years, he faithfully served as a member of the Holy Name Society, and after its closure, he became an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He generously volunteered his time performing maintenance for the church, served as a lector, and frequently led the recitation of the Holy Rosary. His unwavering faith and willingness to serve touched countless lives.

Alfredo was known for his warm heart, kind spirit, and wonderful sense of humor. He loved football and proudly played six-man football during his high school years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, rabbit hunting with his boys, and tending to his garden. He also brought joy to many as a bingo caller, often delighting everyone with his signature phrase, "That's a good bingo!"

Above all, Alfredo cherished his family. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and the best grandpa anyone could ask for. The love he shared with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will forever remain in their hearts.

He is survived by his sons, Ramiro Treviño (Claudia) and Alfredo "Freddy" Treviño Jr.; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Treviño and Ariel Treviño; his great-grandchildren, Kailee Sophia Martinez, Azreal Niko Martinez, and Alyiah Mendez; his brothers and sisters; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Asuncion Treviño; his son, Andres Treviño; his mother, Lucia Chavirra; and his sister, Sylvia Ortiz.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Alfredo's life on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 170 Hackberry St., Leming, Tx 78050. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Felix Segura, Rudy Garza, Robert "Bobby" Garza, Paul Ozuna, Nick Ortiz, and Cade Garza.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alfred "Freddy" Treviño Jr., Kaitlyn Treviño, Ariel Treviño, and Ramiro Treviño.

Alfredo's legacy of faith, service, love, and laughter will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
